Wilson Elementary and Hamlin Middle Schools

are sheltering-in-place due to major gas leak

The City of Corpus Christi Fire Department is requiring two Corpus Christi Independent School District campuses to shelter in place due to a major gas leak in the immediate area. Wilson Elementary School and Hamlin Middle School students will remain on campus until emergency officials contain the gas leak and provide an all-clear for the area. The neighborhood streets immediately surrounding the two campuses are blocked to repair the gas leak. Parents will not be able to pick-up their students until an all-clear is given by emergency officials. Students will remain on campus until the shelter-in-place order has been lifted. Once the all clear is given and it is safe for students to be released, the campuses will dismiss students to parents.
