Jessica tweeted about the joy of motherhood

(WENN) - Jessica Simpson has called her first week of motherhood "the best thing" she has ever experienced as she is "so in love" with her new baby daughter.
The singer-turned-fashion designer and her football star fiance Eric Johnson welcomed Maxwell Drew at a Los Angeles hospital last week.

The news was announced on Simpson's website hours after the birth, but the star has not publicly commented on the new arrival until now.
In a post on Twitter Tuesday night, she writes:
