LOVE to knit and crochet (along with any other crafty thing I can get my hands on), I read tons of books, and have been known to take the occasional 5-hour nap in the middle of the day...I'm also an HGTV-aholic and spend lots of time reading home decor/DIY blogs.

My pets are family. I'm sure most of you feel the same way. I saw this picture a couple of weeks ago and tear up every time I see it. Fortunately, there's a little bright spot on this sad story.
I often find myself on my computer thinking, "what was I supposed to be doing?" because I inevitably make my way to Pinterest. Have you discovered Pinterest yet? I'm always seeing things online that I want to make, cook, think is cute, want to remember, etc. but I HATE having bookmarks for all of these individual pages without really knowing what it was that I liked on each page. Pinterest takes care of that, and I get to see what other people on the internet think is cool. This is what my page looks like right now:
It's a bunch of random stuff. I'm trying to find a mobile for Jake's crib, there's a tutorial on french manicures, some furniture I like, books I want...a whole lot of organized randomness.

Just a quick little check-in to let you know I'm back! Hope y'all have been well. Maternity leave was great, but it's back to grind. The best part about it was bringing home Jake. He was born June 7th, 7 pounds 10 ounces, 21 inches long and a real sweetheart. Here's a pic of him from July when we visted my Mom and Dad in San Antonio.
I love the look babies give when they're trying SO hard to hold their head upright. Pure determination and concentration. It's precious.
Being a parent is kind of awesome. He's always learning and doing new things, and it's such a privilege to watch him grow. He's laughing and cooing now, and that's vastly entertaining, lol. Here's the most recent picture of him, taken just this week!
As much as I adore this little guy I'm really excited to be back at work and back on the air. I missed it a LOT. I'll definitely be updating here a lot more too, so check back often, leave comments, and talk to me on Facebook and Twitter!
